Job Description
• Assist as directed by the QA Manager with development and implementation of the Contract Management System, identifying key processes and ensuring these are documented and implemented in line contract requirements
• Maintain the Contract audit schedule
• Maintain the contract audit actions register
• Provide monthly reports on progress and status of audit actions
• Carry out internal / external audits
• Prepare project specific quality plans/method statements when required
• Ensure Fabricator operational procedures are approved for use and welding processes are approved for each piping fabrication
• Review material requisitions to ensure the appropriate inspection level and certification requirement is requested
• Review and approve vendor inspection and test / quality plans
• Coordinate in house vendor inspection local to Aberdeen area
• Coordinate vendor inspection activities by nominated inspection agency local and out with to Aberdeen area
• Liaise with engineering on technical queries or other issues raised by fabricators/vendors
• Review and approve vendor piping and fabrication dossiers
• Review construction workpacks for compliance with contract requirements
• Input to subcontractor / vendor bid evaluation process
• Liaise and assist engineering on certification and close out of completed workpacks
• Attend Project-Kick Off meetings and Pre-Production Supplier Meetings, where applicable
• Attend Criticality Review Meetings to determine the correct criticality rating of equipment to be purchased
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will preferably be HNC/HND qualified in an engineering or related discipline
• Have a recognised current Internal Quality auditor qualification
• Experienced in the documentation and implementation of management systems to recognised standards (ISO-9001) within the Oil and Gas Industry
• Manufacturing background Onshore/Offshore (Mechanical/Piping) within the Oil and Gas industry
• Good team working skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self starter, capable of working under own initiative
