Electrician

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team for an equipment installation and commissioning project.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical installation, connection and initial commissioning of the following equipment:

Hook-up and electrical connection of augers, centrifuge and skip station.
Installation and routing of required power and control cables from equipment to designated supplies/panels.
Installation of cable containment and supports where required.
Glanding and termination of cables at both equipment and supply/panel ends.
Connection of motors and associated equipment in accordance with the relevant electrical drawings.
Carrying out continuity and insulation resistance testing prior to energisation.
Performing motor rotation and phase checks, correcting rotation where required.
Checking and verifying all electrical connections prior to energisation.
Assisting with the initial start-up, commissioning and functional testing of the equipment.
Working safely and in accordance with relevant electrical standards, site procedures and risk assessments.

Documentation

All relevant Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical drawings will be provided for the installation and connection works.

Qualified and experienced electrician.
Proven experience with industrial electrical installation and equipment hook-up.
Competent in cable installation, glanding and termination.
Experience with motor connections, testing and commissioning.
Able to read and work from electrical drawings and SLDs.
Strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
