Junior Business Systems Support

Job Description

We are recruiting a Junior Business Systems Support for our client based in Bridge of Don.

This is a full time, permanent role.

You will be required to provide installation and support services for hardware and software products used by company employees to maintain an effective information service.

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, day to day duties will include.

  • Managing the Helpdesk
  • Provide backup support for users of Microsoft Dynamics GP and its supporting applications.
  • Provide assistance in software/hardware installation and support at both user level (PCs) and system/network level (Printers/Servers etc).
  • Provide first line software, hardware and technical support/advice to all users in order to overcome faults/problems and allow them to perform their business systems related tasks.
  • Provide or assist in training on any existing or newly developed business system related applications and ensure all users are supported through the adoption of changes in their key system process.
  • Actively investigate, provide documentation, test and implement any business system related software/application customisation or development.
  • Document/record relevant technical details of software/business process changes for auditing and follow up purposes.
  • Liaise, if required, with both internal and external users, technical support staff and customer contacts to solve issues or implement system software, applications or bespoke changes/developments.
Desired Qualities / Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in report writing and design
  • Experience of end user support using and managing a helpdesk system
  • Systems used; MS365 Business Standard Administration, MS365 Applications (Office/Teams etc), SQL 2017 Database Administration (desirable), Windows Server 2016, RDS (Remote Desktop Services) 2016 (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Weekends on call
  • Prepared to travel to international locations
