Job Description

What you’ll be doing

The Training Coordinator Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the Construction learning and competency development for the construction function.

You will be responsible for:

Contract / Project Fundamentals: People, Process and Systems

  • Maintain the company’s competency program.
  • Ensure training certification is issued and processed as required by filing certificates and updating training information in the data system
  • Support the formulation of training policies, programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs.
  • Liaise with key offshore personnel to manage and maintain compliance targets in relation to training and competence
  • Ensure Minimum Safe Manning Licenses requirements are compliant, including booking of required trainings for the applications’ submissions, as well as liaising with the different agents in a timely manner for the endorsements.
  • Liaise with training providers to ensure quality of services is delivered.
  • Schedule training courses, make arrangements for accommodation and transport

Leadership Activities

· Drive a culture of WeChallenge, supported by a Contract or Project tracker of savings, efficiencies and Net zero solutions.

· Ensure a robust onboarding process is deployed for all Project/Contract personnel – with specific focus on new starts (with Offshore supervision being ultra-critical and subject to GEC checklist).

· Active participation c/w Functional input to ensure the contract team have current and active objectives and development plans in place

· Devise a fully resourced Offshore Mgt visit calendar, which should be supported by BL Directors or other LT members.

· Supporting ‘Exchange Zones’ roll-out and deployment across their Project/Contract service provision.

· Take a lead to develop Business development opportunities for the client, to ensure current and any new service provisions are maximised.

Project Controls (day to day focus of team)

  • Responsible for resource management to meet Contract plans and functional liaison to support any planned up-mans or downmans.
  • Responsible for a fully resource loaded schedule to deliver 28 day plan, along with accurate resourcing profiles passed in a timely manner to Functions (supported by Histo’s or forward plans).
  • Timely and controlled Estimating process, with feedback loop tied to Client specific performance (% for PMS and NPT etc).
  • Accurate Cost report, c/w accurate status of Change Mgt (Original Budget, Pending, With Client, Approved, Revised budget), PO status column, Anticipated Final Cost (and any variance between PO value and AFC).
  • Timely issue of agreed plans and schedules to drive performance and contract requirements.
  • Effective ‘Risk Management’ process with escalation in line with procedure for High and Very High risks.
  • Day to day direction and control of all Project Controls resources, along with timely feedback on performance
  • Effective management of all Contract/Project data, drawings and documentation.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

  • Proven operational experience in training and competency.
  • Knowledge of the drilling industry highly desired.
  • Background in Training, HSE or Human Resource fields.
